Having left Norton at 16.30, Peter dropped us at Terminal 3 with plenty of time for check-in etc. Just as well because airport security were being extra cautious as well as some passengers being extra idiotic! Our carry on bag was strip searched - they found an image that looked like a screwdriver but couldn't find the culprit. All my meticulous packing wasted!
Flight was good - all on time. Glad I'd packed my earplugs as there were some robust snorers aboard. Arrived at Bangkok on time at 15.40 and wow has the airport changed a lot since we were last here about 20 years ago. It is huge - probably a mile from the arrival gate to the baggage reclaim area.
Weather is hot and humid - 32 degrees. Looking forward to a good sleep ready for the trip to Laos and the start of the tour.
